Mutual aid is cooperation between neighbors for the sake of the common good, a form of caring for one another. It is different from charity. Mutual Aid is a form of building and advocating for community wellbeing.
South Bronx Mutual Aid is a volunteer group of neighbors helping neighbors. We believe in the inherent dignity of all people and seek to support our community in solidarity with each other. We recognize that many of our neighbors have not been able to sufficiently get support for their needs, such as food, clothing, personal care items, housing, and legal support, to name a few. We believe in serving all populations in our community and provide what we can, when we can, to all.
