You are responsible for any content you submit through PigWatch. By submitting content, you affirm that it is truthful and does not violate any laws or rights of others. False reports may result in legal consequences.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use PigWatch to: submit false or defamatory reports, harass or threaten individuals, violate any local, state, or federal laws, or attempt to compromise the security of the platform.

5. Disclaimer

PigWatch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not verify the accuracy of user-submitted reports and are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this service.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PigWatch or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of PigWatch after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Our Commitment

PigWatch is built with privacy at its core. We are committed to protecting your anonymity and ensuring that no personal information is collected, stored, or shared.

No Account Required

PigWatch does not require account creation, login credentials, email addresses, or any form of personal identification. You can use the app completely anonymously.

Location Data

Location access is required to:

• Verify you are within 1 mile of reported sightings
• Display nearby sightings on the map
• Prevent spam and fake reports

Your exact location is NEVER stored on our servers. We only verify proximity at the time of submission and do not retain this information.

Sighting Reports

When you submit a sighting report, we collect:

• The approximate location of the sighting (not your location)
• Your description of the event
• Selected categories
• Optional media URLs

Reports are automatically deleted after 24 hours and cannot be traced back to you.

No Tracking

We do not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any other technologies to monitor your behavior or identify you. We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

Data Retention

All sighting reports are automatically deleted 24 hours after submission. No user data, device information, or usage patterns are retained beyond this period.

Third-Party Services

PigWatch uses OpenStreetMap for map tiles. Their privacy policy governs map tile requests. We do not share any user information with OpenStreetMap or any other third party.

Legal Requests

Because we do not collect or store personal information, we cannot provide user data in response to legal requests. There is no data to provide.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app. Your continued use of PigWatch constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
